TOLEDO — Elizabeth (Jean) Bradford, 84, of Toledo, formerly of Temperance, died Friday in Aspen Grove Care Center, Lambertville. Friends may call from 6 to 9 tonight and from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Boyer VanWormer Scott Funeral Home, 5055 Secor Rd. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Born Feb. 9, 1921, in Detroit, she was the daughter of Ira and Florence VanSkiver. Her husband, Richard, preceded her in death. She was employed as a payroll supervisor for more than 25 years with the Toledo Board of Education. She was an active member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, served as a volunteer at Flower Hospital and was a member of the Young Matrons at the YWCA. Surviving are two sons, James (Dianna) and John (Sheri); two daughters, Barbara Myers and Brenda (James) Grodi; 14 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Robin Myers; two grandchildren, and a great-grandson. Monroe Evening News, (Michigan) - January 16, 2006.
