US Republican State Senator for California. Elected 1942. Was instrumental in helping get the Coronado Bridge built in San Diego. Leading to the island Coronado off San Digeo bay.

As the Chair of the California Senate Interim Committee on Collection Agencies, it was Kraft who authorized process servers to serve Frank Sinatra with a subpoena at his home in Palm Springs. The process servers entered Sinatra's house through an open door at 4 a.m. on February 17th, made their way to his bedroom and served him in bed.
