Audie Boyett died January 1, 1994, in Fortuna at age 73. She was a resident of Fortuna. Born and raised in Winn Parish, LA, Mrs. Boyett came with her late husband, Clinton, to Humboldt County in 1949, where they made their home in the Fort Seward area until moving to Fortuna in 1967. Mrs. Boyett had worked at St. Luke Manor for almost 15 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of the Rohnerville Assembly of God Church. She is survived by her three daughters and their husbands, Virginia and Lawrence Harvey of Fortuna, Debbie and Bob Nix of Sparks, NV, and Helen and Virgil Riddlesperger of Verona, MO; her twin sister, Vaudie Kelly of Olla, LA, and sister, Ava Boyett of Olla, LA; two brothers, Cecil Meredith of Olla, LA, and Heartsol Meredith of TX; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton C. Boyett in 1983; a grandson, Mark Harvey, in 1992; and a brother, Avery Meredith, in 1978. Friends are invited to attend services at the Rohnerville Assembly of God Church in Rohnerville on Thursday, January 6, 1994, at 2 p.m. Pastor Ken Bilyeu will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunrise Cemetery in Fortuna. Casketbearers will be Bob Nix, Jim Boyett, Jerry Boyett, John Palmer, Orion Wilson, and Lawrence Harvey. Arrangements are under the direction of Goble's Chapel, Fortuna, where friends may call Thursday, January 6, 1994, from 8 a.m. to noon.
