FROSTBURG
James Barber, 78, of Vale Summit, died Saturday evening in Miner's Hospital where he had been a patient for a week.
A retired farmer, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nettie (Loar) Barber: one daughter, Mrs. Marie Gower, of Baltimore; one son, William H. Barber, at home; two brothers, William B. Barber of Vale Summit, and Ralph Barber, of Gilmore, and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Walkingshaw, of Midland.
Mr. Barber was a member of Vale Summit Methodist Church.
The body is at the Durst Funeral Home. Services will be held today at 2 p.m. in Vale Summit Methodist Church with Rev. Wilbur Grose, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Loar Cemetery, Dan's Mountain.
