Cortez Clingman Holland was born in White County, Tennessee, December 24, 1859, and departed this life March 22, 1945, near Crawford, Oklahoma, at the age of 85 years, 2 months and 26 days.
He was united in marriage to Nannie Ann Green December 1, 1881. His wife and two daughters preceded him in death.
He is survived by one daughter, Mildred Miller of Crawford, two sons, Herman of Crawford and Cloyce of Pond Creek, one sister, 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
He was converted and became a member of the Methodist church over 50 years ago. He moved west in 1898 and had lived in Oklahoma 28 years.
Rev. R.O. Stewart of Cheyenne officiated at the funeral service Sunday afternoon, March 25, 1945 assisted by Rev. Cotton. Interment was in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of the Tunnard Funeral Home of Cheyenne.
