Dawn Marie Hoke, 65, of Yorkville, died Monday, April 14, 2008 at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints St. Marys in Racine. She was born Jan 16, 1943 in Chicago to Kenneth and Mary Jane (nee Smith) Radtke. She spent her early life in Chicago. She attended Morgan Park High School and Gateway Technical Institute. On Dec 14, 1963, she married Merlynn Lee Hoke in Chicago.
Dawn was a Licensed Practical Nurse at St Marys Medical Center and Oakridge Care Center. She enjoyed genealogy, pets, supporting the Humane Society, and spending time with family.
Survivors include her husband, Merlynn Hoke of Yorkville, children, Martin (Gina) Hoke, Matthew (Robin) Hoke and Kristen (Eric) Paulson, all of Union Grove, grandchildren, Giulia Ryan, Bryce, Liz and Josh Hoke and Zach and Jake Paulson. She is further survived by a very special friend, Judie Lentz, uncles, John (Betty) Smith, Donald Smith and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Dwayne Radtke and Jack Carr.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2008 at 7:00PM at Polnasek-Daniels Funeral Home in Union Grove with Rev Gary Swanson officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Thursday, April 17th from 4-7PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place on Friday April 18th at 11: AM at West Lawn Memorial Park in Racine. Memorials have been suggested to the Humane Society.
