Eugene “Gene” Ray Adams, age 91, of Ridgway, Colo. passed away Sept. 4, 2014 on his home ranch in Ridgway. Gene was born to Alva Ray and Mary Lida Cramer Adams on Jan. 31, 1923, at the family’s ranch in Dry Creek Basin in San Miguel County.
Survivors include his sister, Anna Carter of Montrose; daughters Denise Adams and Terry Adams of Ridgway; granddaughter, Kim Rice of Ridgway; several nieces and a nephew; and his former wife, Jean Moss of Montrose. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Clarence and Waldo “Whitey”; his twin sister, Mary Jane Adams; a son, Eugene Ray Adams, Jr. and wife, Edna Galloway.
No services are planned. The family requests no flowers or memorial contributions.
