Bryce Calvin 'Bill' Clifton, the eighth child of Captain Ernest Horatio 'Polly' and Edith Ellen (Stutes) Clifton, was born August 7, 1903 at Eagleport, Bloom Twp., Morgan County, Ohio.

Bryce married Norma B. Sillery, daughter of Harold D. and Clara L. (Black) Sillery, January 9, 1926, at Morgan County, Ohio.

Excerpt from their wedding announcement:
"A wedding was solemnized Saturday evening at 6:30 o'clock at the Malta M. E. parsonage, when Norma B. Sillery became the bride of Bryce C. Clifton. Rev. G. D. Clifford performed the ring ceremony." Published in The Zanesville Signal, Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio; Monday, 11 January 1926

Two children were born from this union:
1. Maurice A. 'Mac' Clifton (1930-1959)
2. Harold Ernest 'Ernie' Clifton (1931-1988)
