Mary E. (Ferraro) Augeri, 93, former long time resident of Old Post Road, Westerly, died September 28, 2009 in the Westerly Health Center.

She was the widow of the late Joseph S. Augeri, Sr. Born in Westerly, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Santa (Strafach) Ferraro.

Mrs. Augeri was a communicant of St. Clare Church in Misquamicut, and was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Surviving, she leaves two sons Salvatore J. Augeri and Joseph S. Augeri, Jr. both of Westerly; one brother Nicholas Ferraro of VA; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by four brothers John Ferraro, Joseph Ferraro, Peter Ferraro and Angelo Ferraro and by four sisters Julia Whitehurst, Minnie Loughborough, Theresa Ferraro and Grace Comforti.

Calling hours are omitted. There is no procession from the funeral home to the church.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated on Thursday Oct. 1 at 9:30 in St. Clare Church, corner of Crandall Avenue and St. Clare Way, Misquamicut. Interment will be in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Westerly.
