Chris was born Dorothy Christine Allen, the only living child of Willie Pauline Kent and James Noah Allen, and raised in Greensboro, NC. She attended the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina, graduating in 1942. She married Thomas A. Wright Jr. in June 1943 in Laguna Beach, CA. They lived in New York after WWII and had three children, then moved to Woodstock, IL where they lived from 1955 to 1968. They moved to New Canaan, CT, where they lived until their deaths, three weeks apart, in 1996. Chris was a travel agent and loved traveling, gardening, playing bridge, and reading.
