Al Albers, the son of Jesse and Melva (Blaue) Albers, was born September 17, 1926 in O'Brien County, IA. He grew up on a farm near Primghar and received his education at Gaza Consolidated School.
Al married Margaret Strampe and their union was blessed with two children. He later married Donna Hamrick. They lived in various locations in North Dakota, Minnesota and Northwest Iowa, where he spent his entire career in sales. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer. Throughout the years, Al was active in Fast Pitch Softball and Baseball leagues and was inducted into the Fast Pitch Hall of Fame in North Dakota in 1983.
Al was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Donna and one son, Marv.
