ASBURY, MISSOURI - Walter L. Barley, 84, 1232 W. 126 Highway, died at 2:32 AM, Friday at Mount Carmel Medical Center, Pittsburg, Kansas, after being a hospital patient since Nov. 12.
Barley was born Feb. 13, 1911, at Jasper. He had lived in the Jasper area all his life. He attended schools in Mindenmines, where he was a 1929 high school graduate. He was a farmer. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
He married Inez Davenport on Sept. 12, 1925, at Girard. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, John and Darrel Barley, nine grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Nashville, MO Cemetery. Delmar Cook, elder, will officiate.
Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in care of the Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg.
