Wally Dean Anderson
Wally Dean Anderson, 70, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away 27 September 2011 at home.
Born 15 July 1941 in Kansas City, son of Walter Anderson and Esther (Paris) Anderson of Elwood and Wathena, Kansas.
Wally graduated in 1959 from Wathena High School. He served four years in the Air Force and eight years in the Army National Guard. Wally was a member of the St. Joseph Police Department before graduating from the first Missouri paramedics classes at the old Sisters Hospital here in St. Joseph. For eight years Wally ran the Nodaway County Ambulance District and served as a volunteer firefighter there. He then drove a Yellow Cab here in St. Joseph for 15 years prior to his last job of driving for Oats.
He loved people, life, and family and was respected by all who knew him. He was known for his big heart and sense of humor.
Preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ronald and Donald Anderson.
Survived in the home by his wife Linda, his five children: sons, Donald and Christopher Anderson and daughter, Clarensa Fee, all of St. Joseph and son Eric and daughter Christie of North Carolina. He had seven grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many friends.
