Cecil Alayon, 82, a resident of Summit died September 1, 2012 at his residence. He was born August 7, 1930 in Key West, Florida. He was the son of Manuel and Matilda Estevez Alayon. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was retired from the U.S. Naval Station in Key West.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Mary Joyce Coker Alayon; a stepdaughter, Sharon Travis Simmons; two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Katie Lee McKenzie Alayon of Summit; one son, Frank Watson of Texas; two daughters, Brenda Armstrong of Everton, AR and Sebrina Bedwell of McComb; two stepsons, David Travis of Summit and Brad Travis of McComb; five stepdaughters, Kathy Simpson of Gulfport, Vicky Davis of Magnolia, Stacey Childers of Summit, Irene Lang of Texas and Linda Prescott of Tylertown; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Monday at Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home in McComb from 5PM until 8PM and Tuesday from 10AM until services at 11AM with Rev. Larry Romack officiating. Burial will be in Navilla cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Travis, Brandon Travis, Alton Simmons, Ricky Armstrong, Chris Armstrong and Timmy Armstrong
