Mr. Billy Joe Adams, age 81, of Nectar passed away peacefully Sunday, March 27th, 2016 at his residence.

Survivors include his wife Lois Doty Adams; daughter Tammy (Terry) Vanhooser; brothers Roger Adams, Ralph Hallmark; sisters Catherine McAnnally, Eunice Faye Adams; sister-in-laws Margie Adams, Grace Adams, Linda Adams, Renee Adams, Molly Hallmark; grandchildren Harper and Gracie Vanhooser. He is preceded in death by his parents Grady and Vida Marsh Adams; daughter Sue Ellen Adams; brothers Eldridge, Henry and Wilburn Adams; sister: Betty Parvin; brother-in- law Brownie McAnnally.

The family will receive friends at the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel 17885 State Hwy 160 Cleveland, Alabama 35049 on Tuesday, March 29th, 2016 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held following on Tuesday at 12:00 PM in the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Nectar Cemetery in Cleveland, Alabama.

Mr. Adams was employed with Metro Trailer, Inc. as a Trailer Mechanic. He was involved with the Masonic Lodge #836 and the Shriners - Zamora Temple; he loved fishing, gardening, he enjoyed spending time with his family & friends, and he delighted in playing music especially the bass fiddle.
