Winnie was born Sept. 2, 1922, in Wills Point to Beulah Mae Hill and Frank Moore, who predeceased her. Winnie had been an active Southern Baptist, serving her Lord since she was baptized Nov. 10, 1950. She was known among her family and friends as the "worlds greatest cook."
She is survived by her loving husband and life partner of 25 years, Jim Patton of Odessa; two daughters, Rita Mikel of Odessa and Cindie Kimbrow of Houston; three grandchildren, Tosh and Noelle Ingram of Houston and Marc Mikel and wife Lisa, parents of her two great-grandchildren, Kali and Cole Mikel of Denton; a sister, Lorene Ford of Wickett; and nieces, nephews and cousins. Other survivors include her stepchildren, Barbara Patton of Odessa, Mel Patton of Newport Beach, Calif., Ken Patton of Amarillo and Van Patton of Ruidoso, N.M., and stepgrandchildren, Doiley Harris and Bonner Patton.
