Jeanette L. Carson, 36 of Slater, MO, died Monday, April 22, 2002, as the result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident on I-70 near Grain Valley. Services will be Monday, April 29, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Slater with Rev. Robert Sisney officiating. Burial will be in the Slater City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 noon-2 p.m. Monday at the church. Memorials are suggested to a trust fund for her children at the Community Bank in Marshall, MO.
Survivors include her husband, James Carson, of the home, a son, Daniel Manning of the home, two daughters, Aimee Carson and Haley Carson, both of the home, her parents, Gene and Barbara Sparks of Slater, a brother, Carl Sparks of Okeene, OK, a sister, Debra Johnson of Winetka, CA, and her paternal grandmother, Almee Hill of Slater. Mrs. Carson was a member of the First Baptist Church in Slater, and a 1983 graduate of Slater High School. She was assistant manager of the Home Depot in Independence, MO.
