The Abilene Reporter-News, Monday, May 2, 1977, Section 10-B - Mrs. Burnam - CROSS PLAINS -- Mrs. Annie May Burnam, 92, of Cross Plains, died at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at E. L. Graham Memorial Hospital in Cisco. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Higginbotham Funeral Chapel. -- The Rev. Toby Irwin, pastor of First Baptist Church in Cross Plains, will officiate. Burial will be in the Cisco Cemetery. -- She married Joseph Elijah Burnam on Feb. 6, 1910 in Moran. He preceded her in death on Aug. 5, 1967. She was a housewife and a Baptist. -- Survivors include one son, Roy E. of Jackson, Miss,; three daughters, Mrs. Wilma Lane of Cross Plains, Mrs. Wyma Hunnicutt of Kerrville and Mrs. Jeanette Berry of Pismo Beach, Calif.; one brother, Buford Allen of Merkel; two sisters, Mrs. Neta Gunn of Cisco; Mrs. Ima Berry of Big Spring; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. -- One son, Allen, one grandchild, Vickie Burnam, five sisters and three brothers, preceded her in death.
