Funeral services for the Rev. Ray Don Adcock, 68, of Aiken, S.C., formerly of Minden, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007 at First Baptist Church, Aiken, with the Rev. Dr. Fred Andrea III officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Cemetery under the direction of Shellhouse Funeral Home, Inc. in Aiken.
Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. today, November 13, at the funeral home.
The Rev. Adcock was born in Minden to the late George Alman Adcock, Sr. and Mattie Long Adcock. He died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007.
He was a member of the Baptist Association, the Lion's Club and First Baptist Church, Aiken. In his lifetime, he pastored in many Baptist churches.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and a grandchild, Matthew James Adcock.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn Ruth Droddy Adcock; three sons, David Ray Adcock and wife Pamela of Greenville, S.C., Daniel Keith Adcock and wife Tess of West Columbia, S.C. and Timothy Cole Adcock of Aiken; and six grandchildren.
