MOTLEY -- Larry A. Best, 61, Motley, died Jan. 4, 2004, at his home. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004, at the Lincoln Evangelical Free Church in Lincoln with Pastors Brian Burton and Terry Stumbo officiating. Larry was born March 29, 1942, at Oakes, N.D., to Arthur and Gladys (Wickwire) Best. He drove school bus for the Staples Motley School District from the mid 1990s until the present. He also was a part-time sportscaster for KSKK radio of Wadena doing Staples Motley High School football and basketball games. Survivors include his wife, Barba; two sons, Mark (Missy) and Matthew, both of Nisswa; two brothers, Richard (Delores) Fiala of Fort Myers, Fla., and Daryl (Janice) Best of West Fargo, N.D.; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Cleone Martin.
