James Hizon (sic), Former Farmer of Near Redfield passed away at Kansas City yesterday of cardinoma of the liver, aged 73 years.
Several years ago Mr. Hixon sold his farm near Redfield to Frank Welsh and he bought a flat in Kansas City, where he has since lived. He leaves one son, Isaac of Redfield, and a daughter, Mrs. Ada Adkins of Los Angeles, California; also three brothers, viz: B. Hixon of Iola, Jack of the Bethel neighborhood and George of Hepler.
S. H. Lynn and the son accompanied the remains here this morning. Funeral arrangements will not be complete until the daughter is heard from. They will be held from the Mount Orum Baptist Church near Redfield.

The funeral of the late James Hixon, who died in Kansas City, was held yesterday at 3 o'clock at Mt. Orum church near Redfield. Rev Gilliam officiated and many of the old neighbors were in attendance. The burial was in Mt. Orum cemetery. Among the pallbearers were S. H. Lynn, R. E. Smith, Frank Stevens and E. W. Stevens.
