Funeral services for Mrs. Verna Abramski, 74, were held at 9:45 a.m. Monday, June 26, in the Triska Funeral Home Chapel, followed by requiem mass at 10 a.m. in the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. The Rev. Henry Rachunek officiated.
Mrs. Abramski was born Jan. 22, 1893 in New Waverly, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Buckner. In 1911, she married Lige Abramski of New Waverly. They had made their home in Rosenberg during the last 40 years.
Survivors include her husband, Lige Abramski of Rosenberg; a son, Marion Abramski of Rosenberg; four daughters, Mrs. Janie McHugh and Mrs. Malcolm Smith, both of Houston, Mrs. Bill Brandon of Rosenberg, and Mrs. Delton Lubojasky of Sugar Land; a sister, Miss Evelyn Buckner of New Waverly; two brothers, Lige Buckner of New Waverly and Joe Buckner of Houston; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Franklin Lubojasky, Darney Lubojasky, Johnnie Abramski, Lowell Matthews, Robert Mitchell, and Leon Tofeslki.
Interment was in the West Garden of Gethsemane, with Triska Funeral Home in charge.
