When William Geter "Bill" Bardwell was born on September 10, 1905, in Arkansas, his father, James Luther Bardwell, was 32 and his mother, Laura, was 30. He had four sons with Effie Lee Ola Anders between 1926 and 1933. He then married Elizabeth Clara in 1940. He died on July 7, 2000, in Rockport, Texas, at the age of 94.

I was told that in the late 1930's he left his wife, Effie Ola Anders and the 4 boys in Rochelle,Texas to go to the coast for a life of fishing. He had a passion for fishing and boats. He slept on the beach until he started working on a shrimp boat were he slept on the deck of the boat he worked on. Fishing was Bill's passion. He worked on tugboats and owned and captained his own fishing boat. I believe he used his boat for a charter fishing trips.
He married Elizabeth C Flautt in 1940. Elizabeth died in 1984.
