Our beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson and friend, Alex Blaine Furness, passed away on March 2, 2013 in South Jordan, UT. He was born on April 12, 1985 in Murray, UT to Michael John and Kathleen Fisher Furness.

Alex was full of enthusiasm, fun and life. He loved to be with his family and friends and could talk to anyone. Alex had a passion for football and played it well. He played at Taylorsville High, Snow College, Los Medanos College and Southern Utah University. He received an Associate's Degree from Snow College.

Alex taught those of us who lived with him many lessons, especially not to judge each other. He taught us to love and forgive, and that a true friend is loyal and always helpful.

He had made awesome and great strides in overcoming his worldly trials. He was looking forward with excitement to finishing school at the U of U and going on to have a full and happy life.
A beautiful blessing told us that the Lord called Alex home because He needs and wants him there. He will continue to progress. Alex's talents of loving, befriending and encouraging will be beautiful tools in bringing others to know and love Christ, our Redeemer and Savior.

We super love and miss you! We are so glad you found God before leaving this earth.

Alex is survived by his parents, brothers Eliot, Tyler (Kat), sisters Corilyn (Micah), Michelle (Ryan), grandparents Ephraim J. and Irene Furness, nephews Kobe, Eddie, Wyatt, nieces Ryen, Josie, Amelia, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his brother Ryan, grandparents Blaine and Velma Fisher and his aunt Mary.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Cedar Breaks Ward, 5635 South 2200 West in Taylorsville. A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens.

Dear Alex,
Happy reunion with your brother Ryan. Give him our love and keep plenty for yourself. We have an unending supply for the both of you. Watch over us until we meet again in a glorious reunion.
