Hector Arredondo, 58, a resident of Baytown, was called to the Golden Gates of Heaven on Monday, Feb. 7, 2011.

Hector, a loving son, husband, father, brother and grandfather was preceded in death by his father, Vicente Arredondo; son, Hector Arredondo, Jr. and stepson, Saul Rodriguez.

He is survived, to cherish his memories, by his mother, Juanita Arredondo of Los Fresnos, wife Sarah Arredondo of Baytown; brothers, Ramon (Liz) of League City, TX, Criselda Reyes (Ernesto), Valentin (Noemi), both from Dickinson, TX, Alfredo (Lolly) of Harlingen, TX, Armandina Cortinas (Antonio) of Houston, Vicente, Jr. and Eloy (Valarie) both from Los Fresnos, TX.
He is also survived by his children: Gracie (Nick) Perez, Abel Arredondo, Irene (Damian) Garcia and Alicia (Orlando) Balderrama and stepchildren, Adam (Nancy) Rodriguez, Christina Gallegos, Michelle (Norberto) Aramburo, Claudia Rodriguez, Cosme (Elvira) Rodriguez, Alberto Rodriguez and Sarah (Jose) Pizano; 16 grandchildren, 14 step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Hector was a kind and loving man who loved to help people, while asking nothing in return. He was an avid fisherman who loved the water and his prized possession, his boat. He loved carpentry as well. But above everything, he loved his family and friends, who will miss him dearly.
