Pius H. Ackermann
Casper - The Mass of the Resurrection for Pius H. Ackermann, 83, will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, with Rev. Michael Hellman as celebrant.
The rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens.
Ackermann died April 22 at Memorial Hospital of Natrona County following an illness of three months.
He was born Dec. 15, 1901, in Newport, Neb. On July 28, 1930, he married Florence E. Davis in Atkinson, Neb. In 1942, from Stuart, Neb. They moved to Casper where Ackermann was employed as an operator for the Standard Oil Co., retiring in 1963.
He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the Amoco Annuitants Club.
Besides his widow, he is survived by two sons, of Auburn, Wash. of Riverton; two daughters, Mrs. Marilyn Ellerbruch of Northglenn, Colo. and of Casper; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Ramm of Columbus, Neb., and Mrs. Roy (JoAnna) Davis of Melbourne, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Frank and Clem; and one sister, Clara.
Flowers or memorials to St. Anthony's School would be equally appreciated by the family.
