Frank Ackerman's Funeral Slated

Buffalo - Funeral services for Frank J. Ackerman, 68, formerly of Midwest, who died Monday afternoon at his home in Buffalo, will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from the Catholic church here.

Rev. James Ruddy will officiate.

Burial will be in Natrona Memorial Gardens in Casper at 2 p.m. Thursday.

Rosary will be recited Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home in Buffalo.

Ackerman was born Aug. 18, 1898 in South Africa and came to America with his parents when he was 5 years old. He moved to Casper in 1924 and to Midwest a year later where he worked in the oil fields for 33 years. He retired and moved to Buffalo in 1958. He is survived by his wife, Clara, of Buffalo and two daughters, Ethel Atwill of Midwest at Rita Paden of Moorcroft and three sisters, Anna Ramm of Stewart, Neb., Joanna Davis of San Fernando, Calif., and Clara Fredinburg of Applegate, Calif., two brothers, Pius Ackerman of Casper and Clem Ackerman of Norfolk, Neb., and five grandchildren.

Friends may donate to the Cancer fund in care of Adams Funeral Home, but flowers are equally acceptable, the family reports.
