Master Sergeant Marius Dubnicki was born in Upper Silesia in July 1977. In 1988 him and his parents came to the Rhineland where they found their new home. After his O-level exams, in 1997 Marius Dubnicki had to do his compulsory miltiary service.
He quickly found out that this work mattered to him, so he prolongued his time with the military on a voluntary basis in February 1998. In November 2004, Marius Dubnicki was officially made a professional soldier.
Marius Dubnicki got instructed in professional diving; his time in Afghanistan was his first time abroad, and he only arrived there in March 2010.
He was a much loved man, his comrades especially liked his very honest and open personality, and the pride he felt being able to serve his country.
Master Sergeant Marius Dubnicki sadly lost his life aged 32 only, along with two other soldiers, when the Eagle IV they were driving was attacked by a bazooka near Baghlan.
He leaves to mourn him his wife and his 4-year-old daughter and many other family members and friends.
