William George Blacksher-Taylor, 68, was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 11, 1930 to the union of the late William George Taylor and the late Claudia Brown.

Rev. Taylor was led at an early age to joined the Church and was Baptized. God planned a life of service for this servant He called to preach the gospel. He Later attended Elizabeth Bile College, was ordained at the Fuller Theological Seminary. His work with the Prison Fellowship in Detroit led him to Washington, D.C. where he continued his Prison Ministry as Chaplain at Lorton Prison and was awarded numerous Certificates Of Appreciation.

In 1993, Rev. Taylor was blessed to return to Detroit, Michigan and re-united with Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church. Now as an Associate Minister he was proudly accompanied by his wife, Patricia and their son; Yusef, Rev Taylor was a very faithful until illness prevented him.

Form a previous marriage God graciously had blessed Rev. Taylor with a son; Alex and a daughter; Crystal who proceeded him in death.

Rev. Taylor was born into eternity at 5:55pm July 4th., 1999. He lives in the memory of his loving wife; Patricia, his son; Yusef, brother; Fred Blacksher, of Oak Park, Michigan; a devoted long time friend; Rev. Robert Wright Jr. (JoANN) devoted Pastor and friend; Pastor G. L. Burton (Gertrude), three brother in-laws; James, Carlton and Michael Richmond, two sister in-laws, Linda Bell and Ardell Bell (Oliver) all of Washington D.C., eleven nieces and nephews, many cousins other relatives and a host of friends.

Service held Saturday, July 10, 1999, 11:00 a.m. at Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church, 901 George Burton St. (Melboune), Detroit, Michigan 48211; Reverend George Burton, Officiating.

Final Arrangements Entrusted To Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., Detroit, Michigan.
