Services for Nora L. Humphrey Adams, 87, of Bloomington, who died Friday morning at Bloomington Nursing Home, will be 1 p.m. Monday at Clear Creek Christian Church with the Revs. Richard Wood and William Offutt officiating. Burial will be in Clear Creek Cemetery.

Born July 18, 1899, in Monroe County, she was the daughter of Absolom and Nanna Dee (Wampler) Humphrey. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Vincennes, Order of the Eastern Star No. 291, the 1627 Barracks Auxiliary of the Veterans of World War I and American Association of Retired Persons, all Vincennes chapters. She was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a charter member of the Vincennes YMCA.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Wallace of University City, Texas; three brothers, Curtis Humphrey, Harold Humphrey and James Humphrey, all of Bloomington; four sisters, Mary Hill, Pearl Martin, Gladys Dephue, Bernice Bender, all of Bloomington; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Adams, in 1964; one son, John E. Adams in 1974.

Friends may call 11 a.m. until services Monday at the church.

The family suggests those who wish may make memorial contributions to the United Methodist Church in Vincennes in care of Greene and Harrell Mortuary.
