Vivian was born in Shelbina Mo, the daughter of Charles and Frances Young Purdy. On June 1, 1946, she was united in marriage to Murel Leftridge. He preceded her in death on June 18, 2007.
Vivian is survived by two daughters, Shirley Tracy, and husband, Paul, of Shelbina, Mo. and Sandy Jackson, of Lee's Summit, Mo. Four grandchildren, Mark Tracy and wife Colette of Cairo, Mo, Laura Reams and husband Darian of Little Elm, Tx, Debra Ziebarth and husband Scott of Macon, Mo, and Mike Jackson of Brookfield, Mo. One brother in law, Burl Leftridge of Austin, Tx. Numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
Vivian was a graduate of Shelbina High School and a member of the Shelbina Christian Church. She and Murel were the owners of Sky Way Cafe and Clappers Steak House in Shelbina. Vivian's family was very important to her, and she loved the time she spent with them.
