Dennis O. Adolphsen Sr., 47, Independence, died Sunday, Jan. 28, 1990 at Veterans Hospital.
Mr. Adolphsen was born in Twin Brooks, S.D., and moved to this area in 1963. He owned Denny's Used Cars in Independence from 1978 to 1988. He was a member of the Raytown Masonic Lodge, Ararat Shrine and the Scottish rite bodies. He was an Army Veteran.
His survivors include two sons, Dennis O. Adolphsen Jr. and James Eric Adolphsen, and a daughter, Tracy L Johnston, all of Independence; three brothers, Larry Adolphsen, Sugar Creek, Dale Adolphsen, Oak Grove, and Derald Adolphsen, Colman, S.D.; and five sisters, Janice Ross, Colman, Opal Knox and Irene Soefkker, Minneapolis, Betty Lou Brooks, Rapid City, S.D., and June Anderson, Brookings, S.D.
Graveside Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Leavenworth National Cemetery; memorial services will be 2 p.m. Wedmesdau at the Newcomer's Noland Road Chapel. Friends may call from 6-8 tonight at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to defray funeral expenses.
