3) It has original records of Harriet SMITH (Chase) remarriage to Napolean Martow in L.A. California on Feb. 1, 1916 and a Fred L. Chase of San Bernardino is their witness of marriage to the Justice of the Peace. He was a Civil War Vet in Co. "E" of 128th NY Infantry also who was receiving his pension #1082093. He dies Nov. 1, 1918 in Los Angeles county & buried Forest Lawn Cem. and Harriet dies January 28, 1919 in Forest Lawn Cem., Los Angeles county.

1900 Portage County, Wisconsin list him as a Mail Carrier of age 61 yrs. old with his wife Harriet Chase (age 61)-both born in New York State. Married 42 years.
