*Having served as a soldier during the First World War, he was a teamster by trade; he died in the Queen Alexandra of tuberculosis at the age of '33' (sic) years. Private Joseph Abraham was laid to rest on 22 August 1921. [death certificate also notes that he was born in Canada; names of parents not noted]

A teamster by trade, he enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force on 11 Sept 1915 in Stratford, Ontario, Canada. He served in England and France and was discharged from the service by reason of demobilization on 29 Mar 1919.

Private Joseph Abraham is commemorated on Page 555 of Canada's First World War Book of Remembrance.
