Burial was at Erick Cemetery under the direction of Fatheree-Albert Funeral Home.
Rosa Abla Snider was born December 20, 1921 on the family farm in Hext, Oklahoma to Irene Rachel and James William Roles. She passed away September 24, 2014 at Reydon, Oklahoma at the age of 92 years, 9 months and 4 days. Rosa grew up in the Hext, Oklahoma community and attended the Pleasant Hill schools until it closed and then attended Hext school until her graduation in 1939. After graduation she was married to Fred Melvin Abla at Sayre, Oklahoma on August 15, 1940. Rosa and Fred moved around and finally made their home in Erick area where they raised their children.
She provided for her family by cooking at Hext and Erick
schools. After Fred passed away in 1989, she later married Raymond Snider and they continued to make Erick their home. Rosa spent the last six and a half years with her daughter in the Reydon community close to family and friends. She enjoyed cooking fried chicken for her family, baking chocolate cakes and fried pies and making handmade quilts for family and friends.
Rosa's abiding love for her family and most importantly God was the center of her life and she showed that in her everyday life.
The family would like to express the deepest gratitude to
Comforting Hands Hospice and especially the nurses: Keri,
Debra, Alisha and Chaplain Laura Nell for their loving care and dedication helping make Rosa's last days easier.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, two sisters, one brother, two sons and one great granddaughter.
