Lizton Resident Dies Following Long Illness
Charles F. Adams, life-long resident of this county, died in the Longhospital, Indianapolis, early Friday morning. He had been in failing healthfor more than a year, but immediate cause of death was pneumonia. Thefuneral, in charge of the Revs. A. W. Roahrig of near Advance, and Kenneth Stewart was held, Sunday afternoon, from the residence in Lizton, with
burial in the K. of P. cemetery there.
Mr. Adams was the son of James Quincy and Sarah Jane Thompson Adams, born February 25, 1872, at Pittsboro. He was married to Bessie Smythe in Indianapolis, May 30, 1914, and they have since lived at Lizton, where Mr. Adams followed the blacksmith trade. He is survived by the widow, a step-daughter, Mrs. Nina Blake, step-grandson, Robert S. Blake. A brother, William Thomas, died a few years ago.
Those from a distance attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Jackson Ratliff, Mr. and Mrs. D. W. VanTreese, all of Chicago, and Mrs. Irene Richmond and son, Jewel, of Indianapolis.
