Jack was born the last of 12 children to Frederick and Mary. He grew up in East Peoria, Illinois. He joined the Navy in 1948 and served aboard the destroyer, USS Zellers, until 1952. He married Marilyn (Mitzi) Flinn on July 4, 1953 and moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in January, 1954. Their first son, Hal, was born July 16, 1954. Later he was joined by Steve, February 14, 1957 and Amy, August 23, 1961. He was a carpenter, a member of Local 344. He belonged to The Festival City Barbershop Chorus of Milwaukee. The Director said he had the sweetest tenor voice he'd ever heard. He is survived by 2 sisters, Imelda Wenninger of Morton, Illinois, and Rosemary McMahon of Denver, Colorado. He also leaves 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandaughter. He has been cremated and his ashes are buried at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery.
