As a child my grandmother Marie Shire McGalin would play bridge with three other women, one of whom was a Mrs. Dotson. As usual children are hardly ever explained who are relatives. Grandmother called one lady "Mrs.Dotson" or "Cousin Mildred". All I knew was that she had a very piercing voice on the telephone and that she was very sweet. It was only as I was doing genealogy and found this particular obituary that I had found out WHO Cousin Mildred was! Grandmother and "Cousin Mildred Dotson" shared an Elble ancestor! So, while this obituary is about Cousin Mildred Dotsons mom, if any of her kids find this and read it please get in touch with me. I'd hate to lose this branch of relatives!.
