Earnie Matthew Stark, the son of Matthew N. Stark and Mary L. (Gale) Stark, was born at St. Louis, MO, February 8, 1950. Earnie passed away at his home near Summersville, Monday morning, April 16, 2007, making his age 57 years, 2 months, and 8 days.

Earnie was united in marriage to Bettiann Young, December 8, 1972. She brought to their marriage 3 children, Eric, Jeffry, and Christopher, all of the St. Louis area.

In 1989, Earnie was baptized at the Bethel Community Church in Summersville, MO.

When his step-father, Forrest Stark, became ill, Earnie helped his mother, Mary, care for Forrest, allowing him to be at home. After Forrest's death, Earnie helped his mother, Mary, by running errands, caring for the house and yard, or anything else that needed to be done.

Earnie like to visit with his friends and family. Teasing his sisters, Glenda, Brenda, and Kay, was his favorite pastime. His hobbies included watching Cardinal Baseball and Rams Football. He liked to listen to Merle Haggard. Often he would watch his favorite team play listening to Merle at the same time. He enjoyed watching wildlife from the large window in the house. Family times were important to Earnie; he enjoyed playing and teasing his nieces and nephews. Earnie enjoyed picking on the girls who were his friends. Earnie was willing to help anyone in need, often by laying carpet and linoleum for them.

Those preceding Earnie in death are his father, Matthew N. Stark; step-father, Forrest Stark; his paternal grandfather and grandmother, Henry and Sarah Stark; and his maternal grandfather and grandmother, Calvin and Iva Gale.

He is survived by his mother, Mary L. Stark, sister, Glenda M. Belew, both of Summersville, MO; brother, Chuck Stark, and wife, Jan, of St. Louis, MO; sisters, Brenda F. Pitts and fiancee, Johnny Moffett, of St. Louis, MO; and Linda K. Beason of Florissant, MO; his aunts, Nova Neal, Orpha and Robert Burns, Irma and Mark Stark, Bonnie Mathis, Nadine Stark, and Ruth and Delmar Tuttle; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Earnie will be sadly missed by all who loved and knew him.

Services were held Friday, April 20, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel in Summersville with Rev. Brad Wallace officiating. Interment was in Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Bradford Funeral Home.
