George A. Bertsch
SOUTH KINGSTOWN --- George A. Bertsch, 80 of 95 Dendron Rd., Peace Dale, a canning machine operator for 35 years for the Narragansett Brewing Company., Cranston, before retiring in 1971, died Monday at home. He was the husband of Madeline (Rose) Bertsch.
Born in Cranston, a son of the late Christian and Anna (Geisert) Bertsch, he moved from Cranston to Peace Dale in 1971.
Mr. Bertsch was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kingston.
He leaves two sons, Peter K. Bertsch of Harvard Mass., and Robert C. Bertsch of Smithfield; a brother, Herbert Bertsch of Providence; two sisters, Caroline Heller of Cranston, Freda Start of Warwick and six grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. at Forbes Funeral Home, 28 Columbia St., Wakefield. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery, North Kingstown.
