Noted Irish-American Roman Catholic Jesuit Priest and Historian, born in St. Louis, MO in 1915, native of Epiphany of Our Lord Parish in South St. Louis City. (Largely of Irish, German/Alsatian and Hungarian descent).

Jesuit Roman Catholic Priest, vows to Jesuit Order,1938,ordination by St. Louis Auxiliary Bishop Paul Schulte in 1944. First Mass held at St. Cecelia Church in South St. Louis City, 1944.

Official Historian, Archdiocese of St. Louis, Missouri Botanical ("Shaw's) Garden, and National Aeronautical and Space Administration (NASA), among other national and regional entities. Archivist for many years of the Midwest Province, Society of Jesus. Chaplain, Traveler's Aid Society. Board member for many years of Tower Grove Park Foundation.

WAKE and CONCELEBRATED FUNERAL MASS WED., Aug. 24, 3-7 p.m., with MASS at 7:30 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier College Church on St. Louis University Campus, Grand and Lindell Blvds. Burial to follow on Jesuit Lot Thursday morning, 9 a.m.on the Feast of St. Louis (Aug. 25), at Calvary Cemetery.
