Velma E. Zabriskie Allred, passed away peacefully December 14, 2003 in West Valley City, Utah.

She was born September 19, 1918 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah to Jerome and Evelyn Cameron Zabriskie.

Velma married Orin Grant Allred, December 31, 1939 in Mt.
Pleasant, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized at the Salt Lake Temple.

Velma was very talented at crafts. She loved to crochet, knit, paint and sew. Both Grant and Velma spent much of their time volunteering for the Magna Senior Citizens Center. One of Velma's favorite things to do was play bingo. Most of all she loved her family.
She is survived by her children, Patsy (Brent) Dea, Shannon (Kent) Schlappi, Gary (Annetta) Allred, Janet (Harold) Garcia, nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, four brothers.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Thursday, December 18, 2003 at the Magna Central Stake Center, 8181 West 3320 South, Magna. Friends may call 6-7 p.m., Wednesday, December 17, 2003 at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna and 11-11:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.

Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
