Born about 1791. Some sources list his year of death as 1855. Probate records indicate he most likely died in 1856
On April 23 1816, Amos married Belinda Phelps in South Hero, Vermont.
In 1828, the University of Vermont purchased a lot from Amos. The University built its first Medical College on the lot. Later named Pomeroy Hall, the building still stands in 2013.
Amos married Sarah Pope on January 13 1835 in Burlington, Chittenden, Vermont
By the time of his death, Amos owned a house on Cherry Street in Burlington.
