Maurita Lynn Brooks Bradford was born August 21, 1951 to Orvalle Ralph and Roberta Pearl (Keeney) Brooks in Watonga, OK. She passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 61. Maurita graduated from Watonga High School in 1969. She was united in marriage to Jerry Edsall and to this union was born one daughter, Indra. Maurita was a beautician and owned and operated The Mane Event in Watonga for many years. She later married Byron Bradford August 21, 2004 in Watonga. She enjoyed working in her yard and flower beds, and most of all loved being with her grandchildren. Maurita was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Watonga.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orvalle and Roberta Brooks, and sister, Sharon Brooks Fisher.

Maurita is survived by her husband Byron Bradford of the home Watonga; daughter, Indra Cowan and her husband Travis of Watonga; three grandchildren, Clayton, Maura, and Emma Cowan all of Watonga; one sister, Mary Brooks Southworth of Oklahoma City; brother-in-law, John Fisher of Watonga; many nieces and nephews including, Jonna Fisher Bernhardt of Watonga, Jodi Fisher Chalfant of Hinton, Justin Fisher of Watonga, and Brooks Southworth of Yukon; three sisters-in-law, Janice Kelly of Grand Prairie, TX, Marilyn Bradford of Shawnee, and Benita Tassey of Oklahoma City, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Memorial donations may be made to the Trinity Baptist Church, 700 N. Clarence Nash Blvd, Watonga, OK 73772.
