She was born in Garvin Cemetery, Oklahoma. Mrs. Baxter was the Owner of Zefferine Baxter Realty in Oklahoma City for 11 years. She was a member of Holy Temple Baptist Church where she served on the Trustee board and as a member of the Missionary Society. She was a member of Eastern Star Chapter #90 and the Metropolitan Board of Realtors. Survivors include her husband Miller Baxter of the home; One son Sullivan Williams, Oklahoma City; One daughter, Mrs. Catherine Hinton, Oklahoma City; her mother, Tepie Alexander, Oklahoma City; four sisters, Mrs. Cercia Maye, Mrs. Tessie Gaines, Mrs. Rosie Burner, all of Oklahoma City and Mrs. Pernetha Bruner, Davis, OKC.; one brother, Richard Alexander, Oklahoma City and six grandchildren. Private funeral services for Mrs. Zefferine F. Baxter 56, of 1901 NE 66th Street will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Holy Temple Baptist Church. Burial will be in Oil Springs Cemetery in Tatum, Oklahoma Under the direction of Temple and Son Funeral Home.
