Norman Lee Blades, 41, of Shawnee, formerly of Hooker, died Saturday, March 5, 1994 at Morton County Care Center in Elkhart. Norman was born June 7 1952 to Verol and Dessie Brewer Blades.

Norman grew up and attended school in Hooker, graduating with the Class of 1970. He married Dannette Hiatt on June 16, 1973 in Guymon . Norman lived in the Guymon-Hooker area most of his life. He worked in well services for the oil and gas industry. He moved to Shawnee in 1989 where he lived until his death.

Survivors include his parents, Verol andDessie Blades of Hooker; daughter, Tina Blades of Guymon; brother, Darrell and his wife, Debbie of Canyon, Texas; sister, Verlena and husband, William, Furr of Yarbrough; neices and nephews, Jamie Furr, Kista Furr, Haley Blades, Brandon Furr, Zack Blades.

Services were held Monday, March 7 at the Hartville Cemetery near Hardesty, with Rev. Shawn Siegfreid of the First Church of the Nazarene of Hooker, officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of the Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker, Okla.
