Funeral services for Herman Bock were held at St. John's Lutheran Church in May City, Monday morning, December 9. Rev. Allen Brutlag officiated.
Burial was at the Harrison Township Cemetery at May City, with the Baumgarten Funeral home in charge o f the arrangements
The Casket Bearers were Dean Newkirk, Ray Ellingson, Elmer Heilman, Lloyd Newkirk, Dr. John Tabola and Lyle Mayer
Herman Bock, the son of Heinrich and Catherine Bock was born May 17, 1893 in Germany. He came to America in 1902. He was baptized in infancy and confirmed in Trinity Evangelical Church in Hartley
He was united in marriage to Hilda Hauck on December 1, 1937. All of his married life was spent in farming, until they retired to their home in May City. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in May City
He passed away at the Spirit Lake Hospital on December 5, 1985 at the age of 92 years, six months and 18 days
Preceding him in death were hi wife, Hilda in August of 1978; five sisters, Mary Rosie, Olga, Amanda and Linda; two brothers, Hans and Hugo and his parents
He survived by 16 nieces and nephews and many friends
