Carl A. Bloomberg, 82, of Main Road, died Monday at Center for Optimum Care in Westfield. He operated his own electric business after working at Hall Brothers Electrical Co. in Simsbury, Conn. for 281/2 years. He also wired the Granville's Fire House and Town Hall. Born in Brandford, Conn., he lived in Simsbury before moving to Granville in 1956. A graduate of Simsbury High School, he attended Samson Technical School and later earned a journeyman's and master's electrician license. He was a member of the Granville Federated Church and a charter member of the Granville Lions Club. He leaves his wife, the former Marjorie W. Webb; two daughters, Linda DeMars of Stafford Springs, Conn. and Florida and Carlene McGorty of Holliston; a brother, Harold E. of Monitou, Colo.; four grandsons; and a great-grandson. The funeral will be Friday morning at Healey-Pease Funeral Home, with burial in Woodland Cemetery in the spring. Calling hours are Thursday afternoon and evening. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lions Club, Granville, MA 01034.
