Ernestine was born in Okemah, Oklahoma on December 11, 1928 and moved to Meridian with her family as a young girl. She attended Sutter Union High School and California State University, Chico where she graduated and went on to become a Special Education teacher serving her students for over 35 years. She had a fondness for children who had special needs.
Ernestine is survived by her son, son-in-law, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, William Henry Beckley and her daughter Beth Davis on January 2, 2016.
As per her request, private family services will be held under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel.
