Edwin J. Agnew, 56, of Parkville, Mo., tragically passed away December 15, 2008 after being struck by a train. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at the First United Methodist Church of North Kansas City, 21st and Howell. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Road. Burial in Mount Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the ALS Foundation, Soroptimist International Kansas City Northland Health Care Scholarship with the Northland Community Foundation, or the Shepherd's Center of the Northland.

Edwin was a Vietnam era veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was employed by the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad for 38 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Agnew. Survivors include his wife, Nettie Agnew; daughter, Rhian Agnew; mother, Barbara Agnew; brothers, Mark and John Agnew; sisters, Georgia Cyr, Christine Noonan, numerous nieces, nephews, and many special friends.
